About meTo the left you can see my wonderful family. My wife's name is Sonya, and the three beautiful girls are Myah, Maddie, and McKenzie (left to right). Myah will be in 4th grade this year at Nikkari, Maddie will be in kindergarten at CK, and McKenzie is 4 years old. We currently live in St. Louis. You might see me walking my dog, Rylee, around the river. Rylee is in the picture below, and she is an Australian Shepherd.
This is my third year teaching at Nikkari Elementary, and I'm excited to be here! I taught at the Jr. High in Ithaca for 6 years before I came to St. Louis, and before that I was a student at CMU. I graduated with a degree in elementary education, and I specialized in Mathematics and English/Language Arts. I also received a certification in Middle Level Education which certified me to teach Math and ELA up to 9th grade. |
I grew up in Reese, Michigan which is just east of Saginaw. Through grade school, and high school, I played just about every sport possible, and I spent much of the remainder of my time hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Below, you can see me competing in a demolition derby in Munger, Michigan. My car has the 4x4 on it and is smashing in the front end of the poor guy behind me. For many years I worked with my dad on his farm and on many of the neighboring farms. Today, I still hunt and fish, and I try to golf. I spend most of my time hanging out with the family and playing around in my garage.
